i was observing bunga and wury

bunga: she is good, just like a teacher, she’s creative enough…

wuri: well done of her, but she needs to speak up more, and avoid silent…

yiosef, i did not know exactly what happen to him, but he looks so hurry and furious…

antris: honestly, i’d rather see a “mother” on her…

benni: good, she manage the class well…

andre: what a creative he is, he always make his students curious…

that day was the first turn of my teaching…

i was not satisfy at all…

my teaching was too bad for me…one thing was that i cannot handle the time management…

it was the day when everybody who gets the first turn of performing teaching in class.

it was interesting, they all done great overall,

and it encourage me to do the teaching as well-prepared as i can…

one thing that still haunted me is that, nervous plus sweating…

my comments for:

dinar:

she was excellent in delivering the material and stimulating student’s interest. she prepared material well, so she could easily gets the students’ attention and giving any prizes for them. since it was speaking class, she can make students very active
bangkit:

he was great in giving explanations and he had achieved his objectives by reviewing (good in setting induction), but i think the listening material was not appropriate enough to senior high school students
angga:

he was great in his performance, made his students felt enjoy with his teaching he also looks enjoy with the teaching. but sometimes i saw he crossed his legs and this made the sense of teacher on him is faded away.
koko:

he was good, he had prepared the material well and provide a game as the icebreaking, but he have to have a good time management
molen:

she was good, but she has to give the students more explanations of the related topic, to have a good time management, speak up, encouragement. overall, she looks attractive.

my problem,

nervous…

speechless…

sweaty… even over…

andre again(we he teach in front of class)

ndre, my mate since semester one,
your last performance was good enough,
you’ve prepared your material for teaching well,
i think, maybe you should change your behavior in front when you are teaching because for me, i can’t see a figure of teacher.
some pronunciation needs to be improved.
your way delivering material is good, using technology to teach easily…
keep working on love!

group teaching:

unfortunately, i bring my wrong material for teaching that meeting,
i was surprised with the material cos i has not studied the material yet,m
as a result, i cannot deliver my material well and i get many comments and correction from my friends.
it is hard for a teacher if he\she does not have well preparation for teaching.
learning for mistakes to move on!!!

taju,

i think you are too relax so that your teaching goes so fast and you speak also too fast,
pay attention to your student, i know that it still in a practice teaching but i don’t know later when you teach the real senior high school students.
behave also like a teacher, because sometimes, you act like a model at the catwalk
but overall, you are so teacher!
keep working on love friend!

because a true love never be in vain, i believe!!

i think you have to act like a teacher wanna be because when you practiced teaching, i cannot differ weather you speak as a teacher or as a friend, maybe thats because you are too relax (it seems like that) so that you speak so clear and relax.
your eye-contact also, you were too much looking at upstair when speak or explaining something, please reduce it.
maybe thats all from me,
overall we all need too learn, still!

in my opinion, you need to be more expressive, because when you practiced teaching you seemed like you are declaring something important, but it rather brings some boredom
so encourage your expression so that students are motivated and more interested on you.
your smile can help you to be more expressive.
keep working on love bro!!!

I learned how to set induction, set closure, and stimulus variation skills in PPL I so far…

day by day…

without i realize…i feel like i’m that teacher…

but then, when i do teaching in a group, the most difficult to overcome is that to pretend that my students are senior high school students…

in fact, they are my friends…hehe

LEARNING TO LEARN
when i read comments from my friends, still, there are so many weaknesses on me,
honestly, i was satisfied with my performance last meeting,
but this is not enough, life must go on..
from that comments the i try to observe my lecturers when they are teaching,
it sounds that i have no idea to do, but this is what i called “learning to learn”
for the next meeting, i’ll make sure that i’m ready to perform teaching with another skill.

set induction and set closure…

for me, set induction is not easy to do,

because i think we have to think more about the strategy how to lead our students to come up with our lesson,

i realize that i was not prepared my lesson plan well,

this because i do not have any supporting materials to be included in my lesson plan but from internet,

but then, i bought some textbook, esp textbooks for senior high school.

i feel like i’m not that competence to be a teacher…

the 1st meeting, i learned what is needed to be a good teacher…

it’s not that easy to be…

what is needed to be a good teacher, is what i need to be a teacher.
